  • Important Update: TRCC Canada Operations

    Dear Valued Customer,

As you may be aware, both the governments of  Québec and Ontario have implemented new measures aiming at containing the spread of COVID-19 throughout the Canadian population. As of 23:59 on March 24, 2020, all businesses not categorized as performing essential activities, such as producing essential goods or producing inputs to manufacturers of essential goods, and as offering essential services, are ordered to shut down their operations.

Please note that as a fabricator of chemical products (NAICS 325), TRCC Canada is listed, both by the governments of Québec and Ontario, as a business performing essential activities, and is thus exempted from this upcoming lockdown. Therefore, we will be able to support your business during this period.

Please contact us to let us know if you are exempted or not from this lockdown so we can respond to your particular situation, as deemed required.

On a more personal basis, we hope that all is good with your health, that of your team and of all of your loved ones.

  • Groupe RETEC and TRCC Canada, two Canadian companies, enter into a strategic alliance allowing for an easy access to the NAFTA markets (Canada-US-Mexico) as well as the European and Asian markets.

TRCC_Canada_Groupe_RETEC22 June 2015 – Groupe RETEC, a company developing waterproof and ecological surface coatings for paper and paperboard used for industrial and food applications made its mark by offering components consisting of materials that are renewable, completely recyclable, compostable and repulpable. The strengths of Groupe RETEC are Research and Development, application processes and sales.

To ensure its sustainability, Groupe RETEC just concluded a strategic alliance with TRCC Canada, a Canadian subsidiary of TRCC. TRCC, a chemical and technological multinational, offers facilities across the world for the production of finished products technology, management of raw materials and transportation logistics for distribution. The technological strengths of both groups are also well aligned as TRCC has been developing and commercializing speciality coatings and adhesives since its inception in 1956. Surface chemistry is a shared strength between the two groups.

This alliance, a first step towards an implementation strategy of a brand new 100 % green packaging technology which will radically transform packaging components, will lead to the production of exceptional products competing both on price and performance with the current base technology of these markets consisting of non-recyclable coatings based on fossil oil. Each year in North America, more than five (5) million tons of paper and paperboard are coated with wax and polyethylene based technologies that very unfortunately end up being buried in landfills without the possibility to be recycled; this represents 60 million trees per year! In our opinion, we feel that petroleum-based treated packaging will soon be a thing of the past. The market is demanding more and more that companies make green and recyclable packaging for the good of the environment, on which our well-being as well as that of our future generations depend. Groupe RETEC, in alliance with TRCC Canada, is now able to meet the growing demands of the market for green technology for the benefit of the industry, the environment, and the citizen of the world.
